Liquid screed
Fluid screeds, commonly known as liquid screeds, are self-leveling fluid mortars combined with high-flowing additives. These screeds are applied between the substrate (the concrete slab), possibly covered with insulation, and the final floor covering.
Like traditional slabs and concretes, fluid screeds offer an excellent aesthetic solution with a high level of flatness. Additionally, fluid screeds have a very low air void content in the core of the material, which allows them to conduct heat more effectively compared to traditional screeds.
Features
Fluid screeds are concretes compliant with the NF EN 206-1/CN standard. Their formulations allow the creation of a self-leveling concrete with a grain size similar to that of mortar. These mixtures are applied using a pump and are intended for indoor use only.
Areas of application
Fluid screeds can only be used indoors and must be installed in a decoupled or floating system on concrete slabs, floors, or ceilings, with or without the interposition of an underfloor heating system.
Furthermore, the concrete must meet the requirements of the applicable DTU (French construction standards) and regulations.
Fluid screeds are not intended to remain exposed; they must be covered with a floor covering.
Under no circumstances should this fine concrete be used in industrial premises. It can only be installed in spaces not exceeding the classification U4P4E3C2.
